Last year, I took a course in K9 first aid with Veterinary Tactical Group. This entailed two days of hands on AMAZING learning that I couldn't recommend more to folks who are out with their dogs. I took this course for my role as a search and rescue team member. When I'm on a search, I have ended up on K9 search tasks almost every time. If something were to happen to the SAR dog, I want to be equipped to handle the situation, especially if the dog's handler is injured as well.
